November  2022

Aloha Yachties,

Hello November!

Fall colors, fresh cool air, leaves falling, fireplaces, hot chocolate, gatherings with family and friends and just being grateful!

This past Saturday evening was the FYC  Annual Dinner Dance, held at the Dorado Golf Club.  There were twenty-five members in attendance.  Black table cloths adorned the tables, with beautiful floral centerpieces (donated by Don Coleman) that held glass globes and candles.  Upon arrival, members were offered a glass of champagne as they socialized on the patio.  Later, we gathered inside for a brief meeting and dinner.  Don Harclerode opened with a treasurer's report, followed by Nancy Olney's giving a membership report.  Nancy presented a monetary gift to four members who introduced new members to the Club this past year.  I then thanked all the past and continuing Board for their support throught the year, presenting each with a bottle of FYC special labeled wine.

At the conclusion of the meeting, dinner was served.  After dinner, everyone gathered on the patio for dancing and socializing.  The evening music selections were absolutely wonderful, as prepared by David, Joan Meade's son.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Annual Dinner Dance this past Saturday evening, the music and delicious dinners served by "Jenny."  Even though the Dorado Golf Club was not a fancy restaurant setting or hotel banquet room, the accommodations met our needs and our budget.  Thank you to all who attended!!

As we enter the holiday season, I pray that everyone will stay healthy while enjoying family, friends, and gatherings.

Blessings to all and Happy Thanksgiving!!
